Who we are

Discover 360 was founded by Kevin Strain in July 2020 after he graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Real Estate. However, the COVID-19 pandemic meant that his graduate job at a commercial real estate firm unfortunately had to be postponed. So he used the free time the pandemic had given him to start Discover 360 Virtual Tours.

While working on placement as retail agent in a Commercial Real Estate Firm, Kevin experienced first hand the deadly effects the internet has on bricks and mortar stores. It made him wonder how businesses could utilise their physical premises more effectively as the world moves to doing things more digitally, which lead to the world of virtual tours.

He was able to run the business alone while also working part-time as a landscape gardener. However, as the demand began to increase, he decided to bring someone else on board. Robbie Player, who is currently studying towards a BA in Economics at the University of Strathclyde became a partner in December 2020.

Virtual reality market

Virtual reality is no longer science fiction. It is fully integrated into our lives and, in the coming years, it will lead to advances that will shape the future.

The virtual reality market was valued at £12.5 billion in 2020. It is expected to grow at a 48.7% compound annual growth rate and reach £133 billion by 2026.

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has sped up our movement towards doing more and more things digitally. Even after the pandemic is over, this trend will continue and it is certain that the virtual reality sector is going to be a huge part of that. VR allows us to stay connected with physical locations even while we are forced to visit them online. In the future we will see VR used in almost every industry. Wherever it is too expensive, impractical or dangerous to do in person, virtual reality offers the perfect substitute.
